Howard is a native of Augusta, Georgia, and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps Reserves and United States Air Force.  Howard received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Augusta State University, in Augusta, Georgia, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Keller Graduate School of Management, in Atlanta, Georgia. Howard continues to give back to his community through his involvement with the, DeVry/Keller Alumni Association, serving as a founding and charter member of the communications committee.  Most recently, Howard helped organize the Toys for Tots Toy Drive, Breast Cancer Awareness Walk, Hosea Williams Feed the Hungary, Youth Literacy Foundation, and Habitat for Humanity.
